What services do you provide?

We offer a wide range of services including PC and laptop repairs and upgrades, software setup, network configuration, virus removals, security assessments, data backup and recovery, smart home peripherals setup, tablet and smartphone support. We also offer help with legacy hardware and software as well as any odd technology related jobs. If you're not sure that we can help, please contact us for more information.

Do you provide services in my area?

We operate primarily in the South-East Brisbane suburbs, however, we also provide support in other areas for a small additional call-out fee. Please refer to our service area for details.

How much does it cost?

We charge $110 (inc. GST) for the first hour and then $49.5 (inc. GST) for each half hour after that for on-site service. The price doesn't include any parts that might be required to fix the problem. For any jobs that require off-site labour (like data recovery, system rebuilds, odd issues etc) we provide fixed quotes instead of an hourly rate. We do not have any callout or other hidden fees. Most importantly - NO FIX, NO FEE!*

How do I book an appointment?

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash (Australian Dollars) and any Australian-issued and most international chip cards or magstripe cards with a Visa, MasterCard or American Express logo, as well as bank-issued EFTPOS chip cards. Additionally, we accept digital contactless payments like Apple Pay and Android Pay. Approved customers can pay via direct bank transfer.

​Should I fix my computer or get a new one?

That depends. On many occasions getting your computer back in order requires just a professional cleanup and few tweaks. Other times, it's a matter of replacing a single part, like a power supply unit or hard disk drive (even quality parts are not expensive these days). No matter what the problem is, we're committed to provide the best solution that suits your needs and budget. Here at Computer 4U we're not salesmen and we refuse to practice upselling, unlike many other repair shops.

​Do you provide any warranty?

Yes, we do. We provide 14 days service warranty on all the work done onsite or in the workshop. Also, every part provided by us has at least 1 year standard warranty. Some of the products have 3 years, 5 years or even a lifetime warranty.

What is required before the technician's visit?

Please make sure you have a current data backup. Even if the service is not related to the data stored on your device, it is recommended that you have a current backup as we're not responsible for any data loss. Please make sure you have all your logins and passwords handy if required to avoid any delays. Also, please make sure your animals are secured.

Is there anything you won't do?

Some of the services we currently do not provide include Apple Mac repairs, enterprise server support or electrical work. If you're not sure if we can help, please contact us for more information.
